The Integrative Psychotherapy Institute of San Francisco, California and Alexandria,
Virginia was founded by Vince Nevins, PhD, LMFT in 2003 to offer psychotherapy services (individuals, couples, and
families) to residents of the San Francisco Bay Area as well as Northern Virginia/Metropolitan Washington, DC. from a variety
of psychotherapeutic approaches.
Specializing in individual and couple therapy, Dr. Nevins has a background in
depth psychodynamic, systemic, and solution-focused psychotherapies. His intervention approaches are also
informed by contemplative/mindfulness practices. Dr. Nevins is trained in psychodynamic and Jungian/archetypal psychology
as well as developmental, existential, narrative, and family systems approaches to personal and relational transformation.
In addition, Dr. Nevins works extensively with gender and sexuality issues expressed intrapsychically and relationally.
As part of the philosophy of the Institute, and in addition to providing counseling services, Dr. Nevins serves as a
core faculty member at Argosy University (the American School of Professional Psychology) in Alameda, California as well
as gives adjunct instruction/dissertation consultation at the Washington, DC campus.

Institute (IPI) is conveniently located in the Laurel/Presidio Heights area of San Francisco and in North Old Town Alexandria.
